CRANKSHAFT In my all post I’m telling that this the major part you definitely get bored of this now also I’m going to say the same line crankshaft another major part in the engine but in this post bit I’m going to some technical words so you can understand better the mechanism and parts description .Crankshaft part which converts the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotary motion .This motion of the piston is transmitted to the crank by the connecting rod. Connecting Rod Connecting rod in name itself you can understand it connect something that something is nothing but it connects the piston and the crankshaft and also its called as Conrod .Main purpose of the connecting rod was converting the reciprocating motion into rotary motion getting reciprocating motion from the piston and giving rotary motion to the crankshaft .Its is rigid ,it may transmit either push and pull i.e. pushing and pulling done on the piston Construction Major parts in the connecting rod is big eye end and small eye end, small end attaches to the the piston pin or gudgeon pin, the big end connected with the crankshaft ,the between the big end and crankshaft the bearings are placed Material used Connecting rod is the back bone for the engine if it breaks engine doesn’t work it stops suddenly   so connecting rod has to be rigid for that reason the material has to be chosen mostly connecting rod made by steel only but now a days its made by T6-2024 and ...
