Constant mesh gear box In this gear box, all gears on the main transmission shaft are constantly connected to corresponding gears on counter shaft or lay shaft. In addition, two dog clutches are provided on the main shaft. One dog clutch so between the second gear and cutch gear and another is between the first gear and reverse gear. Splines are out on main shaft so that all the gears are feed on it. Dog clutches can also slide on main shaft and rotate with it. However, all the gears on counter-shaft are giddily fixed to it. Different gear ratios are obtained as follows: For three forward and one reverse gear Top or 3 rd speed gear is obtained when the left dog clutch is slided to left to mesh with clutch gear by using the gear shift lever. Multiplate clutch

Multiplate clutch Multiplate clutch are used for large trucks and racing cars where high torque transmission is necessary but the diameter is limited. These are also used in automatic transmission and motor cycles. In this type of clutch a number of clutch a number of parallel discs of metal and friction material are arranged to transmit the drive. In comparison to the single plate type these are smoother and easier to operate. The increased number of plates/friction discs provide the increased torque carrying ability thus making it suitable for use on heavy commercial vehicles and special purpose military and agricultural vehicles.                       Centrifugal clutch Intro Centrifugal clutch is mainly used in automatic gear system .compare to other clutch types its costly   but it has more advantages then other system. Working The centrifugal clutch automatically disengages itself when the speed falls below and engages when the speed rises above a pre-set value. centrifugal bob-weight are positioned in such a way that the centrifugal forces exerted by them with the clutch rotation result in the release levers due to the outer end of the release lever moving towards the flywheel . This results in the proportionate increase of centrifugally generated pressure with the increase of engine speed. Therefore at low engine speeds only the spring pressure acts, while at high engine speeds the force generated by the weights supplements the spring pressure. CLUTCH Clutch is a mechanical device it’s one the major part in transmission power system .it provides for the transmission of power from one component to another component, its placed in between the flywheel and gear box .Next to the flywheel and before to the gear box transmit power during engage condition main purpose of the clutch is control the amount of motion whenever it needs, Mechanism of clutch It’s the simplest mechanism connect and disconnect two rotating shafts (drive shafts or line shaft).One shaft attached to motor or engine which provides power its input shaft (driving member)and the other shaft gear box etc.(the driven member)provides output power of work. Flywheel

Flywheel The flywheel is a disk or wheel attached to the crank, forming an inertial mass that stores rotational energy. In engines with only a single cylinder the flywheel is essential to carry energy over the power stroke into a subsequent compression stroke.   Flywheel mostly present in reciprocating engines to smooth out the power delivery over each rotation of the crank and in most automotive engines also mounts a gear ring for a starter. The rotational inertia of the flywheel also allows a much slower minimum unloaded speed and also improves the smoothness at idle .the flywheel may also perform a part of the balancing of the system and so by itself be out of balance although most engines will use a neutral balance for the fly wheel ,enabling it to be balance in a separate operation. CRANKSHAFT In my all post I’m telling that this the major part you definitely get bored of this now also I’m going to say the same line crankshaft another major part in the engine but in this post bit I’m going to some technical words so you can understand better the mechanism and parts description .Crankshaft part which converts the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotary motion .This motion of the piston is transmitted to the crank by the connecting rod. The crank shaft subjected to the torsional and bending stresses and is supported on the crankcase structure on large bearing .These crankshaft bearings are known as main bearings. The number of bearings varies depending on the dynamic load on it. For example a four-cylinder engine crank case may have two, three or five bearings. Parts in crankshaft Crankshaft contains many parts they are   crankpins, crank arms, crank journals, and driving ends the crankshaft attached to the fly wheel to reduce the pulsation char...
